Angelo Henriquez is a promising young centre-forward, signed by Manchester United as an 18-year-old from Universidad de Chile in the summer of 2012.
The Santiago-born striker is renowned for lethal finishing in front of goal and was hailed by FourFourTwo magazine as one of the five best young players in the world following his performances at the 2011 South American U-17 championship.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United were aware of Henriquez long before then, however. In fact, he first came to Manchester for a trial as a 15-year-old, with the club keeping a close eye on him in the intervening years.

His progress in Chile was rapid and at just 17 he broke into the Universidad first-team, netting 11 times in 18 games during his maiden campaign. At international level, too, he boasts an astounding record: at the time of signing he’d netted 18 in 21 games for Chile’s U15, U17, U20 and U23 teams.
"He’s very quick and a good finisher," Sir Alex said upon his arrival at Old Trafford. "He’s strong and with great shoulders on him for a boy of 18.
"Angelo has made a tremendous impact on the game in his short career so far. His pace is a great asset and he reads the game really well for someone of such a young age.
