18/01/14: Atletico Madrid have improved Koke's contract, which runs until 2018, to fend off interest from United, reports Marca. The talented midfielder is now said to have a buy-out clause of a whopping €60million.
18/01/14: Aymeric Laporte is the latest name in the frame regarding possible interest from United with Periodista Digital suggesting David Moyes will make a move for the Athletic Club defender in the summer. The France Under-21 international usually plays in the middle but can also operate at left-back. Barcelona, Tottenham and Arsenal are reputed to be other admirers of the 19-year-old, who is under contract until 2018 and has a buy-out clause of €36million.
17/01/14: Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis has emerged as a €22million option for the Reds, according to As. The 28-year-old Brazilian was signed from Deportivo La Coruna in 2010 and has four caps for his country.
17/01/14: The Daily Star continues to forward numerous possible candidates for a January switch to Old Trafford with Southampton's Adam Lallana and Napoli's Marek Hamsik among them. Reports in Italy seem to suggest Hamsik is unlikely to leave this month.
17/01/14: Southampton have reportedly placed a £30million price tag on Luke Shaw, who could be set to leave the club following the departure of influential chairman Nicola Cortese. According to the Daily Star, the Saints have made it clear they want a world record fee for the full-back, eclipsing the £29.5m that was paid by Barcelona for Dani Alves in 2008. Of course, Shaw has been increasingly linked with United in recent months, as well as rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
